Local and international travelers now have a more convenient way to experience the beauty, culture, and adventures that the country has to offer with the launch of the upgraded Travel Philippines app. The digital app released by the Department of Tourism (DOT) and the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines aims to enhance the tourism industry’s digitalization and provide easy access to guides, deals, and promotions.
The Travel Philippines app provides a handy resource of travel information to help travelers discover uncharted destinations. You can use it to plan your own, unique journeys across the country’s provinces in 17 regions, access exclusive travel deals and promotions, and manage digital travel documents in one space.
The app, which was done in close collaboration with DOT Regional Directors, provides information and multimedia assets for respective regions and provinces. This content includes accommodation options, attractions, immersive experiences, and essential services.
Users can craft personalized travel experiences and get in touch directly with DOT-accredited tour operators and guides. The app has features including “What’s Near You” recommendations, access to exclusive deals and promos, and real-time chat support, to help travelers plan their trips.
To keep adventures fresh, the app will remain a collaborative effort and will receive regular monthly updates.
“Travel Philippines opens up enormous opportunities for tourists to discover the multitude of reasons to Love the Philippines as the app provides a comprehensive look at the vast expanse of tourism destinations and experiences our islands have to offer,” said Department of Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco.
According to Frasco, the app will give tourists direct contact with industry experts to help curate their travels to and around the Philippines. The app also aims to spur tourism activities across all spheres of the industry.
“The launch of the Travel.ph super app heralds a bold era in tourism. This innovation promises to equalize opportunities for the whole tourism value chain, most especially our MSMEs, enabling global accessibility, income, and livelihood growth for all, and fostering a brighter future for tourism in the Philippines,” the tourism chief added.
