10 Amazing Philippine Islands to Explore by Motorcycle

There are lots of different modes of transport you can use to get around the Philippines. But my personal favorite is just getting on a motorbike, riding around and exploring on your own. Motourism is on the rise and more tourists are discovering the Philippine islands on two wheels.

Seda Vertis North, Quezon City

Most top hotels in the metro are concentrated in the old Manila and Makati area. There aren’t a lot of upscale hotels in the North, particularly in Quezon City where I live. But with QC being developed a business and lifestyle hub, residents now have more hotel options without having to go too far. For those who want to enjoy stylish accommodations, international cuisine and excellent service, Seda Vertis North is a good option.

Road Trip Guide: Puerto Princesa to El Nido, Palawan

I consider Palawan one of the best island destinations for riders in the Philippines. It’s the largest province in the country in terms of total area of jurisdiction and the main road network is just excellent. You get to scratch that urge to just ride on a long stretch of road and get the benefit of relaxing in beautiful beach-side towns at the end of each day.

Travel Guide: Cebu Road Trip (South)

Cebu is one of the most developed provinces of the Philippines and one of the country’s top tourist destinations. Over the years I’ve traveled back and forth here for various work trips, media tours and solo backpacking trips. While I’m familiar with the main tourist spots within Cebu City, it wasn’t until I had to complete tasks while exploring the island on my own on a motorbike as a finalist for Wrangler’s #TrueWanderer campaign in 2016 that I really fell in love with the place.

Discovery Dive in Anilao, Batangas

Learning how to scuba dive is just one of those things that’s always been on my bucket list. I enjoy snorkeling, but have never tried diving before. I have no second thoughts jumping from crazy heights for extreme activities like skydiving and bungy jumping, but for some reason the thought of drowning and suffocating underwater scares the heck out of me.

Traveloka: A Safe & Legit App for Travelers

As a frequent traveler, I’ve encountered my fair share of horror stories on the road. From being the victim of a travel scam where drivers take the roundabout scenic route to a nearby destination so they can overcharge you to those unbelievably low-priced group tour deals where you end up getting squeezed in a van like sardines on your way to a destination.

These days, it’s hard to trust travel deals and products. If it looks too good to be true, there’s probably a catch. The good thing is you can easily check online if a service or product is really safe and legit. This can apply to hotels, restaurants, gadgets, online travel agencies and travel apps.  Continue reading “Traveloka: A Safe & Legit App for Travelers”

Inflatable Island in Zambales

Inflatable Island is the biggest floating playground in Asia. Located in Olongapo City, Zambales, this seaside water park near Subic is a playground for adrenaline junkies. You can fly through the air before landing in the water in their Human Launcher, climb up a giant floating rock wall, swing from their Giant Tarzan Swing and Slide, jump on their gigantic Unicorn trampoline or just try not to fall into the water as you navigate through the crazy Wipeout-style obstacle course.
