Biking, camping, and coffee rides have really boomed in the Philippines during the pandemic. Everyone wants to spend time outdoors, and going on bike rides to natural spots like mountains and forests near the city or visiting bike-friendly cafes with friends on weekends satisfies that wanderlust of traveling somewhere far by car or by air.
One of the things I miss the most about traveling is hunting down unique beers you can only find in specific destinations. We used to enjoy biking in the Timberland area before the pandemic hit, but sadly most of the bike trails (Blue Zone, Green Zone, etc.) through the regular route up the Wall are no longer accessible to mountain bikers except for special events.
I really wanted to revisit the area just to try out Brusko Craft Beer, the in-house craft beer served at Camp Sandugo, a popular biking and camping destination in San Mateo in Rizal, near Metro Manila.

Camiguin was the last destination I traveled to in early March 2020 before the pandemic lockdown restrictions were imposed and I can’t wait to revisit again when I have the chance.
It’s been a while since we’ve enjoyed the freedom of traveling and hanging out with friends in trendy destinations like La Union, Boracay, and Siargao. We all miss visiting scenic places, trying out new food spots, and breathing in the fresh air.
While many people are just longing for better days ahead, riders have still been able to enjoy a sense of freedom and discovery and can look forward to fun weekends to destinations nearby that have reopened to leisure travelers, with their own personal commuters, like the Yamaha Mio.

Electric bicycles or e-bikes are gaining popularity in the Philippines as an alternative mode of transportation. E-bikes combine the joys of and eco-friendliness of traditional biking, with the perks of additional support and speed needed for urban mobility.
Maginhawa Street in Quezon City is popularly known as an “Eat Street” because of the number of restaurants in the area. Recently, I’ve noticed a lot of new street art and murals around the neighborhood made by local artists who live in the area. Some serve as decorative elements adorning gates or walls outside food parks, restos, or other business establishments.
Biking has really boomed during the pandemic, both for daily commuter use as people face problems with public transportation, and as one of the few allowable socially distanced leisure activities you can do outdoors. However, with the sizzling summer heat, daily commuters and employees who rely on pure pedal power to get to and from work may find biking regularly too tiring.
When you think of retro scooters, Vespa is the most iconic and well-respected brand that immediately comes to mind. The legendary Italian brand of scooter manufactured by Piaggio has been around for 75 years. The classic scooter was launched in 1946 in Florence, Tuscany and has achieved a cult following among motorcycle riders and enthusiasts worldwide.
We could all use a bit of joy these days and when you think of the “Happiest Place on Earth,” you immediately think of of Disneyland.
Going to Disneyland has always been a childhood dream among those who grew up watching Disney Films. Though I never had the chance to travel there as a kid, I’m grateful that I got the chance to visit Tokyo Disneyland for the first time in 2019, mainly to accompany my nephew on the rides during a family summer trip with my mom in Japan.
