Bike-friendly cafes in and near Maginhawa (2025)

Maginhawa Street in Quezon City has a LOT of restaurants to pick from. You could spend a day food-tripping here with different themes. You can find everything from budget-friendly eats catering to students, garden restos ideal for dates, vegan fare, Southeast Asian street food, classic Filipino restaurants, and more.

For cyclists, however, the choices are usually limited to places where we can park bikes safely. Bikers tend to gravitate to places with good coffee, a cozy environment and good food.

If you’re looking for new bike-friendly cafes in the Maginhawa area to visit this 2025, here are some spots that I’ve tried that other bikers might also like.

Kohi Maginhawa

Kohi is a cozy Japanese-inspired cafe with, bike-inspired decor and cute cat toys. They serve good coffee and Japanese eats like hotdogs and katsu rice bowls. This is one of the few cafes in the area where bikers can bring their bikes inside the main air-conditioned dining space, though space may be limited to 2-3 bikes if there are a lot of diners. There’s additional parking space on the rack outside by the sidewalk.

200 Maginhawa Street. Open Monday to Friday from 10:00 am -11:00 pm and Sat to Sunday from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm.

Daily Habit

Daily Habit is a cafe located on the ground floor of the Metrobank building with a safe and shaded area to park bikes. They serve coffee, Engkanto Beer and hefty rice bowls ideal for brunch. During the week, it caters mostly to the remote work crowd and bank visitors, but the secure bike racks up front make it a good choice for bikers on weekends.

96 Maginhawa Street, Quezon City. Open daily from 9:00 am to 12:00 midnight.

De’Ja Brew

While it might appeal more to the motorcycle crowd in terms of the vibe, especially at night, De’Ja Brew is another option for cyclists especially in the morning since they open pretty early. They have a bike rack up front, an al fresco dining area and free WiFi. This geeky cafe has a nice display of collectibles, wide coffee options (including some unusual flavors like kare-kare coffee and adobo coffee) and all-day meals. It’s located along Matahimik Street where MA+D Manila used to be.

18 Matahimik Street, Quezon City. Open daily from 7:00 am – 2:00 am.

Toastman

Toastman is a camping-themed cafe along Matimtiman Street, a quieter street parallel to Maginhawa. They serve coffee supplied by Yardstick, pasta, sandwiches, rice bowls, and Crazy Carabao Craft beer. You can find a few bike racks on the small alley on the left side of the cafe in front of another store.

54 Matimtiman Street, Quezon City. Open Mon-Fri 10:00 am-7:00 pm and Sat-Sun 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Street Kohi

Street Kohi, known for hosting various Studio Ghibli Festivals, is a hidden gem in the area that just went through a major revamp. The newly renovated cafe and furniture shop is inspired by the iconic Eames House and mid-century design. Interiors are artsy and it’s become a creative hub of sorts. Cyclists might find it easier to park here since it’s within a gated compound with a garden area.

24 Mayaman Street, Quezon City, Open Mondaty to Thursday from 10am-8pm; Fri-Sun 10am-11pm.

Brown Sugar King

While they don’t serve the usual coffee options here, you can get iced teh tarik, milk tea, and other refreshing drinks here along with amazing and affordable Malaysian street food. The food here is great. This under-the-radar joint now has a rack where you can lock up bikes and a couple of tables outside. It’s popular with cyclists, especially on weekends.

132 V. Luna Ext (Maginhawa corner Makadios Street), Diliman, Quezon City. Hours vary. Check their FB page for store hours.

Mood Coffee

Mood Coffee is a tiny little coffee shop along the main Maginhawa strip that serves the usual assortment of coffees and a few pastries. It’s located inside a gated area so you can bring and park bikes safely. Aside from a few tables in the aircon space, there are a couple of tables outside under the trees.

74 Maginhawa Street, Quezon City. Open from Monday to Thursday from 7:00 am -8:30 pm and Friday to Sunday from 7:00 am to 10 pm.

Gedli Coffee x Masukal Bistro

Gedli Coffee is one of the stalls in the constantly evolving Masukal Bistro. You can get good coffee here, grab good grub, and just chill out in the afternoons. Cars don’t pass as much on this street and it’s relaxing enjoying drinks on chairs set up on the sidewalk with your bikes parked next to you. Gedli can get crowded at night since the place also has a bar inside.

45 Matimtiman corner Magiting, Teacher’s Village, Diliman, Quezon City. Open Tuesday to Sundays from 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

Wideye Coffee

You can find Wideye Coffee inside Built Cycles, a bike shop along Kalayaan Avenue. This casual brew bar serves hot and iced beverages, so you can grab a coffee here if you’re having your bike serviced or need to shop for parts and accessories. There’s enough bike parking in front of the store for larger groups.

74 Kalayaan Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City. Open Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Wicked Coffee

While it’s not exactly in the Maginhawa area, Wicked Coffee in Project 2 is another cafe worth hunting down about a 5-10-minute ride away from the area through Anonas Extension crossing Kamias Road. Wicked is a slow neighborhood specialty coffee shop operating out of a garage. The vibe here is cozy with just a few tables inside. It’s ideal for mid-week solo rides or a pick-me-up in between errands if you happen to pass by the area. They have a few bike racks in front, which you can easily see through the glass screen.

69-A Bignay St, Project 2, Quezon City. Open daily except Wednesday from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm.
