6 Ecotourism Activities in Camiguin

These days, a lot of destinations brand themselves as ecotourism or sustainable destinations. This means they rely on small-scale tourism where tourists can visit relatively undisturbed natural areas and enjoy low-impact nature activities compared to commercial mass tourism. Camiguin, the “island born of fire” offers an amazing ecotourism destination in the Philippines. The island province is blessed with natural attractions and tourism efforts revolve around conserving the environment and improving the well-being of the local people.

Here are just a few eco-tourism activities you can enjoy in Camiguin.

7 Video Games that Will Inspire you to Travel

I’ve always felt like traveling is like playing an open-world video game. But instead of being guided by some main storyline or quest list, you get to choose your own adventure, save up resources so you can go to the parts of the world you want to explore, try to visit as many places as possible by breezing through or stay longer so you can explore each place ore thoroughly. Every person has their own style of gaming and traveling, and that’s ok. But going on these virtual adventures can sometimes inspire you to look for real-world equivalents.

Pretty much every action-adventure or role-playing game (RPG) game I’ve played has inspired me to travel from Legend of Legaia and Spyro to Diablo and The Last of Us. But if I had to pick just a few, these are those that really stood out and inspired me to travel and embark on personal travel quests in real life. If you’re stuck at home, here are some video games you can play to get a travel fix.

5 Iconic Motorcycles in Video Games

It looks like it might be a while before most of us can get any real riding given the world’s state. The best thing I can do right now is turn on my console and pretend I am. For those who don’t know, aside from traveling, I like playing video games, so I’ll be catching up on some of my gaming-related content while staying indoors.

Since I started riding, I’ve always been inspired by video games for travel and exploration. In fact, my own custom motorcycle Fenrir was inspired by the video game Final Fantasy VII.

What It’s Like to Earn As a Digital Nomad

NOTE: This is a guest post

Traveling used to be a luxury that was either only granted when you had vacation time available on your job or if you worked in a travel-related industry. When working in a travel-related industry, traveling was part of the job description… it was required. And being able to travel only when you have enough vacation time is so limiting… both travel options aren’t ideal, especially if you absolutely love to travel. Fortunately, those two travel options aren’t the only options you have to be able to live a life of travel full-time.

Hiking up Mt. Hibok-Hibok in Camiguin

Those who have been to Camiguin often rave about its stunning white-sand beaches, freshwater springs, and sweet lanzones. But there’s a lot more to love in this tiny island province. For motorcycle riders and bikers, doing an island loop on two wheels is a real treat. The food scene is surprisingly good and varied. For mountaineers and outdoor enthusiasts, the island’s volcanoes, particularly Mt. Hibok-Hibok, offer a challenging but rewarding hiking destination.

Food Trip: Camiguin

When it comes to natural wonders, there’s a lot to love in Camiguin. But aside from the white sand beaches, springs, and waterfalls and volcanoes, I find the food scene here pretty interesting. There are currently no fast-food joints or malls in the tiny island province because locals really want to preserve homegrown restaurants and cafes.

Here are just a few notable dining destinations in Camiguin where you can grab a bite to eat in between island-hopping, hiking or sightseeing.

Interactive museums to visit around Manila

I’ve always thought of museums as typically boring destinations. Most museums I grew up with were just buildings that exhibited historical artifacts. Items are usually just displayed behind glass cases and shelves while paintings are hung up on walls for people to just admire from afar. Usually, photography isn’t even allowed inside museums.
